This fast-paced pulp inspired novel is steeped in tradition, yet reminds us of the ever recurring theme of racism. Mr. Morris provides us with a hero's story, a journey if you will. He structures his tale with unbridled passion, and his unbound knowledge of the source material is evident while you read this updated version of a popular character from the golden age of storytelling. If you're a fan of the original Terror, or are discovering this for the first time you'll find the story fresh, the dialogue well-written and the love for the story prevalent in Mr. Morris' writing. I only hope book 2 won't be too far away.
